Food products exports up by 38 pc in 2007-08 |

| Exports of agricultural and processed food products have increased by 38 per cent to Rs 28,906 crore in 2007-08, largely due to a rise in shipments of coarse cereals, according to latest official figures.
Exports of agricultural products yielded Rs 20,986 crore in 2006-07, an Apeda statement said.
Exports of cereals, excluding rice and wheat, had gone up five-fold to about Rs 2,979 crore during 2007-08, from Rs 599 crore during 2006-07, the statement added. |
