| The economics Nobel laureate, Prof. Joseph Stiglitz, has pinned his hopes on the economies of India and China rescuing the world from the crisis it faces.
India and China are going to continue to grow, although somewhat slower than they have been growing, Prof. Stiglitz said at a conference here.
China is relying on stimulus spending to meet the target of 8 per cent growth this year. India forecasts 7.1 per cent growth for 2009-10.
The global slump is going to be deep and long, the Nobel laureate warned. |
